GMS was formed in 2004 by the leading sales agencies in the USA, Europe, Southern Africa, Russia, and China. The companies, respectively Advantage Sales and Marketing, CPM Group, The Smollan Group, IMSG and Unisono Field Marketing, believed that the growing trend to view Sales as a global function required a global response and, following an inaugural meeting in London, GMS (Global Marketing Services) was born. The initial objectives were to support clients across the globe by providing services through a central point of contact where required, sharing knowledge to enable member companies to provide global best practice and the generic promotion of outsourced sales forces. Later that same year companies from Canada (Cyba Stevens) and Mexico (GSP) were inducted into the origination. GMS is committed to building a powerful presence in the world's sales arena, by being an important and valuable reference point for companies who need sales services, globally. |
